Easter

We were able to take a few family pictures on Easter while we were all dressed up.  Caleb loved the excitement of setting the timer and running to the couch to pose!  It was so great and he smiled so big for every picture!!  And, yes, I do make us sit on the back of the couch so we can have a lovely background, and no, I wasn't running to the couch, I left that to Jarred and Caleb!

Jarred wanted to take some silly pictures and Caleb just LOVED it!

We did a little Easter egg hunt in the house since its been raining for a week straight.  Jarred and I put 1-2 pieces of candy(M'n'Ms, skittles) in half of the 17 eggs we hid.  Caleb quickly figured out that there was candy in the eggs and wasn't too interested in looking for anymore eggs.  So, we went from him trying to find 17 eggs to 8.  He did figure out the concept of looking for the eggs though which was fun.  Next year will be even better!!

Preggo Pictures

36 weeks.  It might be hard to tell, but the baby dropped sometime this weekend.  This Baby Girl  might be coming earlier than anticipated-we are just praying for a weekend birth so Jarred doesn't have to miss any class.  :)
34 weeks.

First Haircut

Here is the before picture of Caleb and his little mullet-like hair.
We didn't get a very good "after" picture, but trust me, the mullet is gone now.  I almost cried seeing his hair get cut.  Caleb is growing up so quickly.  Jarred and I cut his hair this time around and it was rough.  Caleb does not like having his head or hair touched.  We went to the doctor yesterday for his 18 month check-up and Caleb pretty much cries the whole time we are there.  It is just awful.  Caleb weighed in at 26 lbs, 8 oz and measured 31.8".  Tall and skinny like his Daddy!

Spring Break Fun

When we got home from Colorado, Daddy made Caleb some strawberry popsicles.  Caleb loved them!

I love my blue-eyed boy!
We took Caleb to the Boonshoft Childrens Museum.  There is an entire floor for children under 6!  The above picture is the "sand-like" pit where there is rubber sand that he can dig and shovel.
This is one of the tunnels just Caleb's size he can crawl and walk through.
Fun slide!
Caleb wanted to try EVERYTHING!

He really liked driving all the trucks.  The 2nd floor has a ton of other fun stuff to explore.
This is Caleb making pizza with Daddy.  He wasn't quite tall enough to reach, so Jarred put him on the counter to dig into the plastic pizza toppings!
The museum had a TON of buttons for Caleb to push!  He had so much fun that we went ahead and bought the year membership.  I am hoping to take Caleb at least every other week if not more.  It is a fun place to just hang out, and we can bring our lunch in if we wanted.

Fun Family Photo!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

The weather was nice enough on Sunday morning with little breeze to go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.  This was Caleb's 1st zoo experience.  He had a lot of fun seeing the animals; although he was very unsure of the giant giraffes that came right up to his face.
You can see little Caleb just grab my neck in uncertainty.
By the end, he was okay with the giraffes.  He touched one of them and the giraffe jumped, so I think that helped ease his fear.
Caleb knew exactly what to do and went right up to the hole and put his head through.  Its too funny seeing what Caleb automatically knows what to do without instruction.

Three generations of Burley Men right there!

Caleb was whipped after the zoo.  He walked and ran quite a bit!
