Fire Station 41

I don't remember if I had read somewhere or just heard from someone that anyone can visit a fire station and get a tour.  Caleb LOVES Curious George and we have been reading one of the many stories, "Curious George and the Fire Fighters."  Caleb is a very inquisitive boy who asks "why" and "what's this" ALL day long, and he had a lot of questions about fire stations, fire fighters and he wanted to drive a truck.  So, I called the volunteer coordinator and scheduled a tour for today with some of our friends.  None of us moms ever remember going to a fire house, so I think we were as excited as the kiddos.

 Firefighter Scott gave the kiddos plastic helmets and official junior firefighter stickers which was WAY COOL!

 I couldn't get Anna Kate to stay still long enough with the helmet on to get a quick picture, so this is what we got.

 Caleb was so excited about being at the firehouse.  He actually asked about different things, answered questions, and was the only one who wanted to try on the official jacket.  This was Caleb and Firefighter Scott.

We love our zoos

We had a cooler weekend of 78 degrees in August with no rain which rarely happens, so we took the opportunity to go to Columbus Zoo.  At the goat petting area, they gave the kids brushes which was a different experience.

 Anna Kate is a walker these days, for the last month.  It is a lot of fun!

Life in Our House

 Caleb and Anna Kate truly are good friends.  Caleb loves playing his sister, although sometimes, he is a bit rough.  At least once a week there is a body slam or tackle, yep, seriously.  Caleb might be a football player :)  Anna Kate laughs half the time, cries a quarter of the time and screams the other quarter.  She doesn't know the word "no" yet, so there is a lot of screaming if she doesn't like what Caleb is doing.  Some would think it is funny to hear, but if you are around it ALL day long, you may be tempted to put ear plugs in (I haven't yet, just tempted).

 "Ring around the rosies" ......let me drag you on the grasses!  :)

 I haven't posted a picture yet of Anna Kate in her swimsuit from Nana-Great!  Anna Kate sure is a cutie!

Lil' Photo Shoot

I have been taking more pictures of people which has been great.  If I can, Jarred and the kiddos come too and I may or may not dress them accordingly to try and get a few cute pictures of them too :)  The below pictures were taken at our Cox Arboretum.
