Visit with Grandma

The last day of Grandma's visit, we went to our favorite children's museum, Boonshoft.  Daddy hadn't been since our first time there in March, so it was fun watching Caleb show him around.  Caleb has grown up so much these last 4 months, it is incredible!

Visit with Grandpa & Grandma

Grandpa and Grandma came to visit and meet Anna Kate for the first time.  They both came in on Saturday, Grandpa left Tuesday night and Grandma stayed through Friday.  We had a fun visit and of course, Caleb LOVED having more people to play with him.

We had to share Young's Dairy with Grandpa and Grandma.  It was funny watching Caleb say "hi" to all of the goats.

Grandpa got to go on the ride with Caleb.  Caleb LOVES this ride!

We took them to Orchardly Park where Caleb got to play in the giant sandbox, on the playground and a little bit on the splash pad.

Visit with Poppi &Lyn

Here is Poppi and his first great-granddaughter!  This was the same position Papa held me for the first time.

There was a "Tattoo" going on at Wright Patterson AFB across the street from us with an air show, a band and fireworks. The fireworks were incredible!  The airshow wasn't bad, but we saw the same planes a few times.  Poppi held Caleb on his shoulders for quite a while during the air show!

We went to a nearby park with Poppi and Lyn.  Poppi played with Caleb on the playground for quite a while.
Here he comes down the slide.

Poppi taught Caleb how to climb up the ladder-not sure Caleb needed any practice in climbing.  :)  He is now trying to climb out of his crib, so we will be soon transitioning to the "big boy" bed.
Poppi had the magic touch of putting Miss Anna Kate to sleep.  So sweet.
Poppi with both great-grandkids!

Caleb sure did have a lot of fun with Poppi.

Railroad Festival

At Carillon Historic Park, there was a railroad festival one weekend.  Caleb know what trains are, "choo choo."  There were a lot of model trains, a "Thomas train" that he could conduct and a miniature train ride.

We don't think Caleb understood that he was "controlling" the train at all, but he sure did LOVE pushing all of the buttons!  Go figure, right.  Anyone who has met Caleb knows he loves buttons and electronics!

Caleb got a cute paper train conductor hat and posed for me-he loves saying "cheese" and posing for pictures!

It was my turn to go on a fun ride with Caleb, so there we are chugging along.  It was about a 15 minute ride which was cool.  I was nervous about staying still and centered though.  My instructions before the ride was to stay in the center because it is all about balance-"oh great, I am thinking, lets put some toddlers on a train and tell them its all about balance."  But, Caleb and the other kiddos behind us did well.  Caleb stayed in the same position the whole time!  He just got a little antsy in the last 5 minutes or so.

J.F. Kennedy Splash Park

We are exploring the different parks in Dayton.  We are super impressed.  Jarred had a couple weeks off from school in between quarters, so he was able to explore along with us.  Caleb LOVED having his Daddy around.
Caleb had a lot of fun getting wet!

Look at this place-it is way cool!  This is the "splash pad" area and the playground park area is to the left of this.  I didn't take any pictures of that, but I will try to the next time we are there!

We really liked how the water was more Caleb's height.
