More Train Action

Caleb's trains have multiplied!  We went to a friend's garage sale and found 6 more trains!  Caleb has been playing with them non-stop for a couple of weeks now!  I was going to try and save them for his birthday, but he saw the bag and I couldn't resist!  I am glad he got them early because it keeps him entertained for hours!!  He lines up his other toy trains that aren't magnetic behind them too which is fun to see him be so creative!

Here is our precious baby girl!  She is getting so big and so smiley!

Caleb likes to play with Anna Kate, so he will roll his trains and cars down her legs!  It is really funny to see Anna Kate's expression.

Caleb talking on the phone

Caleb LOVES talking to his Nana on the phone!  He walks around the house with the phone, lays down, plays cars, tries to show the phone his cars, colors, eats, drinks, dances, you name it!  I tried to get a couple pictures of him "socializing."  He was even trying to include Anna Kate in this conversation!

Haircut Time

We have given Caleb haircuts before, but this time we used the clippers instead of scissors.  This is our little set-up, sucker in hand, belted into the highchair, and a movie on for his viewing pleasure.  Caleb did pretty well.

The faces he made were priceless!

This is a before picture of Caleb's shaggy hair.  He has also been hanging out in all of the baby stuff in the house, hence, the swing.
Here is an after shot of Caleb's hair.  And, he is sitting Anna Kate's bumbo chair!

Anna Kate has no clue whats going on anyways!

Anna Kate 11weeks

Here is another little comparison of Anna Kate and Caleb.  They are roughly about the same age.  Anna Kate looks a lot chubbier than Caleb, but Caleb did weigh more than her at that age and was longer.

Mini Air Show

There is a model airplane competition going on right now across the street on base.  They fly everyday for 2 weeks at noon.  We went on Saturday to check them out.  Caleb, of course, loved it.  We brought our lunch and hung out for only an hour or so.  It was pretty hot for me and Anna Kate.  Notice my new cool "indoor, outdoor" blanket.  I am pretty excited about it, it folds up and zips into a carrying case with a strap.  We are set up for picnics now!!
One of the tents was giving away model wood planes.  It lasted only the 5 minutes it took to put it together and fly it a few times before Caleb wanted to figure out how to take it apart.  This meant pulling and tearing it apart.  Oh well, it was fun while it lasted and it was free!

Caleb and Anna Kate

I will find Caleb hanging out with his sister a lot during the day.  He tells her stories and tries to play with her.  Too cute for words!
A little grin caught on camera!
There she is smiling at her older brother!
After we took Caleb to the railroad festival back in June, he has also come to love trains or as he puts it, "choo choo."  He use to say train, but now just says "choo, choo."  We also let him watch Thomas the Tank Engine on tv, plus he has a really cool Thomas book that has buttons to push with music!  Since he LOVES trains so much, I went on a small hunt to find him one.  In my head I envisioned "matchbox, metal" trains, but there aren't any that I found.  So, I went with a talking "James" train from the Thomas shows.  He toots, lights up and makes train noises.  It has been a hit!  Caleb played with it for days straight.  Now, instead of just playing with the train, we are playing with ALL things with wheels: tractors, cars, trucks, trains, etc.  He plays for hours rolling them all through the house, under stuff, lining them up, etc.  It is fun to watch but also play with him!
There is a little close up of the train with the light in front.  Oh, and the trains connect by magnet.  I am thinking that if we add to the set, all of them could connect magnetically.  Pretty cool.

Air Show

Jarred took Caleb to the Air Show for a guy's outing.  It was actually too stinkin' hot for us to take Anna Kate and too noisy.  Caleb had a blast hanging out with his Daddy and seeing "airplanes."  Jarred sent me a message a few hours into the show to tell me that "Caleb was in heaven."  It made my heart happy-I can only imagine how excited Caleb was when he saw the airplanes!  The top picture is Caleb all set to go with his backpack and milk (milk is a required item in our day!)

There was a kid's tent that the guys took shelter in from the sun.  You can see Caleb's hot red face!  There was a sand dig pit for him to play in which he loved as well!

Caleb was whipped by the end of the day and fell asleep on Jarred on the short 5 minute bus ride back to the car.  Now, every time hears an airplane he gets so excited and tries to find it in the sky!
