A Few Extra Birthday Pictures

I never got any pictures of the Conductor hat I bought Caleb for his birthday.  He didn't wear it more than a few minutes at the party.
Gosh, he is cute!

Family Pictures

LOVE this picture of my boys!
Three generations of Burley men.

Anna Kate is getting SO big!
Caleb got a really cool bubble maker for his birthday.  When he pushes it, it blows bubbles.  He was so confused by it, but really enjoyed it.

There are the bubbles.............

Apple Picking

We love apple picking if you haven't noticed yet.  Caleb loves being outdoors and we love making applesauce and apple butter!  We have been canning a ton.  This last apple trip, we picked 18 pounds of apples which was a bit much, but I have been an apple pealing, slicing, dicing mama these days!!

Cincinatti Zoo

We packed the weekend with Grandpa and Grandma.  We decided to try out the Cincinnati Zoo.  We will say that we enjoy the Columbus Zoo more, but there were some pretty cool, unique exhibits.  The monkeys were out in the open and "screaming" at each other which was crazy to see.
Not sure Caleb knew what to think about it.

Caleb really liked seeing the goats.
Anna Kate was a happy little girl!
All of sudden Caleb started chasing the peacock which was cute.

Birthday Decorations

So, I did a few fun DIY decorations for this year's party!  This above picture is a "pin the 1 on Thomas" game; however, I didn't want the picture for the game.  I wanted a train that kids could get a picture in.  So, I adhered it to a couple foam boards and cut the face of Thomas out!
This is the train I made out of diaper boxes.  Wrapped the boxes, kept a couple open as "cars" or present holders.  A cute red caboose.  And...........a light in front (see below).  It was a switch tea light.

Tissue pom balls made out of tissue paper.  So fun to make actually thanks to a good friend who helped me out with them.
Here is the beautiful cake!  I found a train mold, thanks to the same good friend who helped me craft the tissue balls.  The bigger cupcakes are to represent a stoplight.  The cake was so fun to decorate!  There were pretzel sticks as logs, crushed oreos as coal, m'n'ms as tires, and coconut and dye for the bottom of the tray to add some color!

Birthday Party

We had Caleb's 2nd birthday party at the base housing clubhouse.  It worked out great considering we had 23 adults, 8 walking kids, and 5 babies!  It also has a playground behind it which was really good to keep the kids occupied.  Caleb had a great time!  He was so confused as to why all of his friends were in one place!  Now, when we have a play date with one of them, he asks if his other friends could play too.  It is really cute.

Anna Kate got to snuggle with some of our friends at the party.  Look how cute!  Mary was rocking her just right and when the clock struck 5 (her normal cat nap time), she passed out!

Caleb playing on the monkey bars with Daddy.

My lips were ready to help him blow the candle out, but he managed to do himself-so proud!
Yum.....ice cream come cupcakes!  No wrapper, just a yummy mess.

One of Caleb's best buddies, Jace.
Our baby girls had the exact same onesie on!

Grandpa with Anna Kate.
Caleb loved opening his gifts, although he was confused as to why there were gifts for him and he wanted to play with each toy as they were opened.  Maybe next year he will understand the birthday party concept.  He was adorable saying "thank you" to everyone after each gift!  He is such a blessed boy!
Here is one of his "older" friends, Sam, who was so cute and helped Caleb with each toy.
Here are most of the kiddos!  We are missing a few walking kids and a couple babies!

Air Force Museum

We went to the Air Force Museum with Grandpa and Grandma.  Caleb enjoyed hanging out in the cockpits and pushing buttons.
